ABout us

We are five miles from the University town of Aberystwyth on the coast. The farm and cottage are on a private drive, three quarters of a mile long, providing vehicle access to the beach. The GreenHouse is at the end of the drive, right by the sea. You reach the steps down to the beach via the gate in our garden wall or if you are walking or cycling the coast path, then you can come in that way.

There are excellent restaurants of all kinds, shops, pubs, cafes, cinemas, art centres and galleries in Aberystwyth and local well stocked shops in Bow Street and Borth. Borth also has a fabulous little cinema, pubs, cafes, a renowned links golf course and a zoo! The award winning Farmers Market in Aberystwyth is a great place to stock up on very tasty food and drink for part of your stay here and is held on the first and third Saturday every month.

The sunsets are beautiful, sometimes extravagant, sometimes serene.

You are welcome to explore the farmland when you are here, on clear days from the high fields, you can look north into Snowdonia or inland to the wide Pumlumon range. To the South you can see along Cardigan bay, until it curls around at Aberporth. On a really good day you can see the Lleyn Peninsula, St David’s and Bardsey but this probably means it’s going to rain!

Our lambs are born out in the fields so come and visit in April and May if you want to meet them when they are tiny.

We love it here and hope that anyone who holidays here will also. Come well prepared for whatever the weather may be and enjoy wild exhilarating storms, baking hot beach days, sitting in the garden with a good book, glass of wine, binoculars, watch dolphins, vivid sunsets, count shooting stars in the dark night skies.
